I walk across the tarmac as the heavens open. I feel the cooling drops of water soaking through my shirt and by the time I make it to the steps I was practically dripping wet. I walk up and into the waiting jet, where Im greeted by my staff, welcoming me onboard with a soft towel and a dry shirt. I take the towel but wave away the shirt.
Are we ready to leave? I asked as I headed further into the jet and took my usual seat, dabbing at dripping water as I went.
Were just waiting for clearance sir. Do you need anything from your car?
No, I want to get away as soon as possible, see what you can do about getting us cleared a little quicker will you. And with that I was left alone, the door to the jet shut tight and I look out of the small window starring at the rain as it bounced against the tarmac. I smile.
A couple of hours later Im stepping off the jet into another down pour, Celeste had been right, the rainy season had started. I walk to the waiting limo a wave of my hand prevents Jacob from getting out and getting wet, just to open the door for me. Climbing into the back I find a towel on the seat and once again Im dabbing at the droplets. I flick a switch and the partition comes down.
Is Celeste at home?
Oui, monsieur, I believe she awaits you. Good trip monsieur?
Very good thank you, when we get home park around by the garage. Ill walk from there.
With Jacobs acknowledgement I flick the switch and the partition rises back up, and Im back into the seclusion of the limo, with just the sound of the tyres on the asphalt and the low rumble of the engine. Slouching in the seat I shut my eyes and turn my thoughts to the night I last saw Celeste. My eyes close and Im looking down into the face of perfection surrounded by rose petals on the ground as a soft summer rain covers us in the garden; watching her shudders of pleasure as she cries out my name. I whisper her name out into the silence of the limo, opening my eyes once more slowly; I can feel the car slowing as it turns into the long drive. I press the button on the intercom.
Jacob stop the car Ill walk from here.
As soon as the car stops Im out and I stand in the rain and watch the limo pull away, I start walking towards the house. I walk slowly at first wondering what she was doing, was she in the bath? On the balcony? I knew Celeste was expecting me, and it all brought a smile to my face and my pace quickened as I approached the house.
My heart ached, how I loved this house, how I had missed it and the immortal woman within. I take off at a run, undoing my cuffs and not having the patience for the other buttons I just rip my shirt open as I hit the stairs to the veranda and up the stairs to the upper balcony taking several at a time until I reach the top.
I stop, seeing her standing there waiting for me and suddenly I am uncertain of everything. I walk slowly towards her my head held down even though my blood rushed to one certain spot at the very sight of her beauty. Stopping a mere breadth away, I lift my head.
"How is it possible for a man to love so deep and passionately? And survive?"
And I swear the world swallows me up the instant she smiles.

A gift from my Wildfire.
Thank you my love for your words
and you, mean everything to me.
My love for you Eternal.
